31mm Nails are required for timber Cedar Shingles
45mm Nails are required for Hips and Ridges
Timber Cedar Shingles should be fixed with two No. 31 x 1.8mm stainless steel nails per shingle installed. As a guide approx. 1kg of nails is required to fix six bundles of Timber Cedar Shingles.
Hip and Ridge capping requires longer nails and should be fixed with 45mm stainless steel nails. Each hip and ridge tile requires 4 stainless steel nails.
Approx 1kg is required for 3 bundles of hip and ridge capping tile installation.
