• Certi Grade Accredited – Third party quality accreditation.
• Lightweight & Easy to install
• PEFC certified – Total renewable and sustainable solution.
• Low pitch solution – Suitable for roofs as low as 14 degrees.
• Durable & hardwearing – Life expectancy of up to 50 years.
• Approved by the Cedar Shakes & Shingles Bureau.

What is the difference between treated and untreated Shingles?

Our shingles are all premium Certi-grade blue label shingles which are 100% heartwood, 100% clear and 100% edge grain. They all have an even thickness and clean sawn faces.

Cedar shingles do not require treating as they are 100% heartwood and have a life expectancy of over 50 years untreated. However if you would like the extra reassurance of treated shingles we offer them pressure treated with a Celcure AC-500 treatment.

The preserved wood is protected against attack by wood decaying fungi and wood destroying insects, but it will give a darker colour to the shingles.

Image below shows treated shingles on the left vs untreated on the right.

What is the difference between Certigrade and Blue Label?

Certigrade shingles have been independently checked and verified by a third party agency accredited by the Cedar Shingles and Shakes Bureau. If the shingles are Blue Label, the shingles are the highest grade available. If the shingles are Certigrade Blue Label, this means that they are the highest grade available and also have been checked by a third party.
